Introduction

Tingler aims to provide an exemplary online service. We make minimum use of cookies on our site, just those required to make your user experience with our site more convenient.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the users computer or device by the online provider such as tingler. They can contain information about a user activity on a site, to help the provider provide a more streamline service. Here at tingler we only use cookes to assist with the login process, so that you do not have to keep re-entering your credentials as you move from page to page. We also use cookies from time to time to collect site performance metrics which can be used to diagnose site performance issues. We cannot identify you as an individual through the information that we store in our cookies. If you wish to find out more about cookies or how to control or delete them, then we recommend you visit http://www.aboutcookies.org for detailed guidance.

Types of cookies

  • Session cookies expire at the end of your browser session and allow us to link your actions during that particular browser session.
  • Persistent cookies are stored on your device in between browser sessions, allowing us to remember your preferences or actions across multiple sites
  • First-party cookies are those set by a website that is being visited by the user at the time in order to preserve your settings
  • Third-party cookies are placed in your browser by a website, or domain, that is not the website or domain that you are currently visiting. If a user visits a website and another entity sets a cookie through that website this would be a third-party cookie.

Types of cookies we use and why

We use both "persistent" cookies and "session" cookies. We use session cookies to manage your log in session to the site, and persistant cookies to monitor the 'performance' of the site.
